Preview
The Devils are coming off a surprising 5-0 shutout victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on the road. And will look to keep their point streak alive tonight at the Prudential Center. The Devils are 2-0-3 in their past five games with some frustrating losses in that span.
Tonight the Devils will be taking on the Los Angeles Kings who have also struggled mightily this season. The Kings are last in the Pacific Division and rank 30th in the entire league. Meanwhile, the Devils are last in the Metropolitan Division and rank 28th in the league. The Kings are also in the midst of a three-game losing streak.
What to Watch For
The Devils had an offensive explosion against Philadelphia making it interesting to see if they can keep it up against a lesser opponent at home.
Mackenzie Blackwood is expected to start in net again tonight for the Devils. It’ll be interesting to see if he can build on his 46-save shutout performance. Miles Wood is also on a hot streak in terms of scoring and Pavel Zacha keeps continuing to play solid hockey as well.
Lastly, I still want to watch Jack Hughes on this top line. I feel his game has been strong in certain areas, but there is still more to come from him in this position.
