Blowouts
The Devils have had an odd playoffs. Although they made it to round two, if you look at their losses in both rounds it is not pretty. Thus far in the postseason the teams’ losses have been: 5-1, 5-1, 5-2, 5-1, 6-1, 6-1. The one loss that was 5-2 the Devils scored with the goalie pulled.
Pretty bizarre phenomenon.
Jordan Martinook
The Hurricanes have had a surprising savior in round two of the playoffs and that man has been Jordan Martinook. The veteran forward who usually resides in the bottom six has a whopping nine point in four game. This does come after a career year in a regular season in which Martinook collected 34 points in a full 82 games, but these playoffs have been something different.
