Pregame Notes

  • With Andrew Hammond beginning to practice with the Devils this week, it seems likely he’ll hit the ice with the team for the first time soon. The Devils are playing in a back-to-back this weekend. Nico Daws has started both games in each of the team’s past three back-to-backs. It’s safe to say the heavy workload he’s taken has worn on him. Although he did play very well on Sunday. Look for Hammond to start one of these next two games.
  • The Boston Bruins in the past have been known to really only have one line, the “perfection line,” which consisted of Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron, and Pastrnak. However, as of late their forward depth has been showing up. Splitting up the perfection line helped with that, but the re-emergence of Taylor Hall and Charlie Coyle as well as the growth of players like Eric Haula and Trent Frederic are also a big reason for the teams success as of late.

Tonight’s game can be watched on MSG+ at 7:00 PM EST.
