The New Jersey Devils will be playing host to the Boston Bruins tonight in a game that may not matter much for the Devils and more than likely still has an impact on Boston’s seeding for the playoffs. The Bruins are one of the strongest teams in the league, and David Pastrnak is back from his injury. The last time the Devils played the Bruins, they lost 1-0 in regulation. Tonight could potentially be a similar story as Cory Schneider is expected to start in net for the Devils, and Tuukka Rask is expected in net for Boston. There are some stories coming into tonight’s game for the Devils, but all fans want is a solid showing on the ice.
Big Stories for Tonight
Kyle Palmieri and Will Butcher will be out tonight, and Pavel Zacha will be returning. The Devils will still be fielding a roster with a lot of young players that may not have been expected to play this season. Zacha will most likely see some time on special teams tonight with the other injuries to the lineup.
Josh Jacobs has been called up and will be yet another player making their NHL debut with the Devils this season. He is a defenseman and will get a chance to play against one of the league’s best teams. It is nice to get a look at what the Devils have in the system with the team sitting where it is in the standings.
Tonight’s game will be at 7pm ET and can be seen on MSG. Below are the expected lineups for the Devils.
