Sunday, the New Jersey Devils look to win their second game in two days as they take on the Anaheim Ducks
The Devils are currently 9-3-0 after beating the Los Angeles Kings just last night. The Ducks are currently 6-3-1, they won Friday at home against the Detroit Red Wings.
Match Overview
After a rough showing Saturday where Jacob Markström stole the game, the Devils will look to continue any momentum built against the Kings. Dawson Mercer scored twice again in the win, putting his total to eight on the year, he had 19 all of last season. Mercer’s offensive contribution is going to be key again Saturday with Connor Brown most likely out of the lineup again.
The Ducks have been buzzing to start this season, led by their impressive young core of players. This has been even more impressive given that major veterans including Radko Gudas, Ryan Strome, Mikael Granlund, and Chris Kreider have all missed time. The Ducks are looking to stay hot tonight, as after a 2-2-1 start, the team has gone 4-1-0.

Keys to the Game
Win in Anaheim
The Devils have done fairly well overall against the Ducks the last few years, but the team has failed to win in Anaheim three out of the last four years. They are 2-7-1 with a negative-12goal differential in their last 10 tries at the pond.
They’ll look to change the narrative tonight.
Injuries
With Connor Brown out for the time being, the Devils have suffered five ongoing injuries this season. Health was always going to be a concern for this team, so they need to show they can stay on the ice and that the depth can step up when health isn’t in the team’s favor.
Where to Watch:
Puck drop for tonight’s game is set for 8:00 pm ET and can be found on MSG SportsNet.
