Matchup Overview
The New Jersey Devils finished out their home-stand with a thrilling 4-3 overtime victory over the Boston Boston. With just three games left on the schedule, the young Devils’ roster will look to continue their growth. The best example of some young team chemistry came during Jack Hughes’ postgame interview, when Ty Smith crashed the party waiting for his ride home.

What to Watch
Yegor Sharangovich
Sharangovich has 16 goals and 13 assists on the season. He enters the game just one point away from hitting the 30-point mark. Sharangovich has been a real bright spot for this season, due in large part to his smooth shot and quick release that has fooled goaltenders all season. His game-tying goal against Boston is the perfect example of his quick snapshot (and a ridiculous stretch pass from Damon Severson).
Jesper Bratt
Bratt is another player on the verge of hitting the 30-point mark, with seven goals and 21 assists. It comes as no surprise that Bratt continues to be an absolute wizard when he has the puck on his stick.
Examples being him pivoting on a dime and throwing quick shifts in body weight to completely fool defenders and get himself a great goal opportunity. Something that we have seen on numerous occasions that once again was on display against Boston was Bratt using a quick stutter-step followed by a dip of the shoulder to cruise past Pastrnak and nearly end the game in regulation. He has near elite edge control and has knack for flying open his hips then exploding out of it to create time and space for himself (as shown below). Keep an eye out for this body control in tonight’s game, it may even lead to a goal.
